Review: A’Pieu Pack Flurry – Cookies and Cream Mask
Hey hey Queens,
I always enjoy a good mask and especially one that smells like food. However, I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing because you are always tempted to eat it (never recommended though, unless it says otherwise).
- It has a mousse-like texture, light and fluffy, and throughout it there are walnut shells to make it look like the cookie pieces. Yasss, that’s awesome.
- It smells exactly like cookies and cream and made me want to eat it. I think that is a good sign because you know it has an authentic smell. The main ingredients are vanilla, shea butter, and cacao extracts, along with walnut shells and coconut powders.
- When I applied the mask it felt cool and soothing.
- The directions said that it takes about 10-15 minutes until you have to wash it off. I noticed that it didn’t dry out or get a hard shell.
When it was time to wash off, I found it kind of difficult and I ended up using a washcloth to get it all off. Also, the walnuts leave black spots on towels and clothing, so BEWARE! I got it on my cat headband — I’ll have to see if it will wash out completely.
After I washed it all off, I noticed my skin felt softer and hydrated. It has to be because of the shea butter. I would recommend applying this mask at night if you are a lady that deals with oily skin. I think your skin would become oily midday if applied in the morning.
I ended up forcing my boyfriend to wear it with me and at the end he noticed that his skin was softer. However, he immediately had an allergic reaction and broke out in a rash. We are not sure why as he doesn’t have a nut allergy. I recommend doing a swatch test on your skin with all new products to avoid an allergic reaction.
I liked it but I wasn’t a fan of the walnut shell stains and how hard it was to wash off. All in all, I loved the smell but I don’t think I would buy it again.
